Joan M. Paquette, CPA, PFS, MBA, CSEP

After 20 years of experience working for Fortune 500 companies, Joan opened her CPA firm in 1995. She draws on her business experience as well as her education to help business owners succeed. Joan graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelors Degree in Accounting from the University of Central Florida and a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) from the Florida Institute of Technology. As a Florida-licensed CPA, Joan is an active member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants (FICPA).

Joan has earned the Personal Financial Specialist (PFS) designation, which can only be acquired by CPAs who are AICPA members (binding them to the Code of Professional Conduct), have a minimum of 3,000 hours of financial advisory business experience, fulfill ongoing continuing education requirements, and complete a rigorous exam.

After completing a comprehensive program, Joan has also earned the Certified Specialist in Estate Planning (CSEP) designation. As a result, she can authoritatively advise clients concerning estate and trust matters as well as the related tax filing requirements.

As early as 1998, Joan saw the need to add financial services to her practice to provide a holistic approach to each client's financial health. Through the integration of her CPA expertise with her knowledge of and experience with financial matters, Joan is uniquely qualified to offer true financial and business solutions to her clients with no tax "surprises".
